Maths Home Tutor in Dwarka

One-to-one Maths tuition at home across Dwarka for Classes 1 to 12, CBSE and ICSE — taught concept-first, then practised under supervision.

Maths is the subject where gaps compound. A topic left unclear in Class 7 quietly makes Class 9 harder, and by Class 11 the student concludes they are simply bad at the subject. Almost always they are not — they are carrying an unclosed gap from years earlier, and finding it is the first job of a good tutor.

The stages, and what each demands

Classes 1 to 5

Number sense before technique. A child who understands what multiplication is will recover a forgotten table; one who only memorised tables will not.

Classes 6 to 8

The shift into algebra. This is the single most common place for confidence to break, because the questions stop being procedural and start requiring a student to recognise structure.

Classes 9 and 10

Board-facing work, and the point where presentation starts costing marks. Step marks are real, and students who work in their heads lose them.

Classes 11 and 12

Calculus, algebra and coordinate geometry at a level that genuinely requires practice volume alongside understanding. Class 11 is where most students underestimate the jump.

How sessions work

  • Diagnose first. The presenting problem is rarely the actual problem.
  • Teach the concept, then a worked example, then let the student work while the tutor watches.
  • Supervised practice, because errors need catching as they happen rather than at the next session.
  • Written tests before the school's, so the first real assessment is never a surprise.

On "weak in Maths": in most cases what looks like weakness is an identifiable missing prerequisite. It takes a session or two of watching a student work to locate it, and closing it usually changes things faster than parents expect.

Questions parents ask

My child was fine until Class 8 and is now struggling. Why?

Almost always the algebra transition. Methods that worked when questions were procedural stop working when questions require recognising which method applies. It is a normal and fixable transition, but not by doing more of the same practice.

Do you cover Class 10 Maths Basic as well as Standard?

Yes, both. Which one suits a student depends on what they intend to study in Class 11, and it is worth deciding deliberately rather than by default.

Can Maths be taught online?

Well, yes, from about Class 8 upward, using a shared whiteboard so the tutor sees the working. For younger students we recommend home sessions.
